Eating Peace: What’s Going On When You Eat Beyond Full?

When you eat beyond fullness….you might attack yourself for doing it later.

Have you noticed yelling at yourself doesn’t really help?

Let’s study a little more closely the moments when you eat beyond fullness.

I’ve found three things could be going on…..and they are three beliefs you can question and change.

Lots of Eating Peace,

  1. Thank you so much for sharing. Love the picture of having “relax” notes all around, so supportive. It’s so very profound when someone so close as mother passes on, there can be feelings of despair, but even in grief I have found something happens when you just let it have you or run through you, some kind of rest at the end of the wave. And of course the waves of grief come and go, but even relaxing with the whole process, letting it be. Many blessings on your journey.

  2. After being overweight a good portion of my life, I am in my 60’s. I finally lost about
40 lbs. About 6 weeks ago my mom passed after a long period of dementia. I was her
main caretaker. Instead of losing more weigh thru stress, etc. I found I gained 10 lbs, and can’t stop eating. And no desire to stop eating. Your message, today, hit home. Especially the “relax” part. I have had so much to deal with in caring for her and thought after her death, I could relax, I find, there is still a lot to take care of after death, aside from the grief. I was pushing myself, and telling myself “you need to take care of this”. Your advice so touched me. I am putting post it notes of “relax” all over my house. Thank you.
